BUL FC hands Vipers first home league defeat in two years

Vipers SC experienced their first loss in two years after being edged by BUL FC on a 3-2 score at St Mary’s Kitende on Friday 22nd.

BUL FC continued to prove themselves as title contenders this season as they continued with their impressive form.

Right from the start, BUL appeared to be the better side with momentum and this later paid off in the 8th minute when Nicholas Mwere broke the deadlock.

In the added minutes of first half, Lawrence Tezikya doubled the lead of the visitors after Vipers’ defence had done a mistake.

Vipers SC returned to second half more optimistic of a point and right away started creating chances.

Yunus Sentamu pulled one back for Vipers in the 50th minute.

Mugulusi added more salt in the wound when his shoot got in past Vipers goalkeeper Fabien Mutomboro to earn BUL FC the third in the 66th minute.

Later on in the 80th minute, Mohamed Salem Ekbad headed in the second for Vipers though could not find the equalizer in the closing minutes.

BUL FC now stretched the lead on top of the table to 5 points as they are now with 29 points while Vipers remained second with 24 points.

Elsewhere, KCCA FC picked up their first win at away when they edged SC Villa on a 2-1 score at Mutesa II Stadium Wankulukuku.
