The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) officially announced the appointment of Belgian born Paul Joseph Put as the new Uganda cranes head coach in a press briefing held at FUFA complex in Mengo.
Paul Put who put pen to paper on a two years employment contract has vowed to help the Uganda national team (Uganda Cranes) play entertaining and competitive football which Ugandan have yearned for over the years.
“I first of all want to thank FUFA for the trust and confidence in giving me this job. I believe my knowledge about African football will help me to do a good job with the Uganda Cranes.” Said Paul Joseph Put.
“One of my targets is to help Uganda play entertaining and competitive football in these theo years.”
“I have been following the Uganda Cranes especially the recent AFCON Qualifier match against Niger and the two friendly games against Mali and Zambia. Give me time, give me the confidence. You will see a different national team.”
Put who replaced sacked coach Micho Mulitin Sredjovic will take over the cranes head coach job from Morley Byekwaso who has been serving as the interim manager.
He comes with five backroom staff members who will help him in coaching the Uganda cranes team.
Sven De Wilde the Performance Manager, Mathieu Denis the Physical Fitness Coach, Gery Osste the Goalkeeping Coach, Martin Michiel the Physiotherapist and Jelle Sevenhant the Video analyst all of Belgian decent.
