SUPL: Kitata guides BUL FC past URA to maintain perfect start

BUL FC maintained their perfect start in the season with a 1-0 win against URA FC in the Startimes Uganda Premier League match played at FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.

Alex Kitata ‘Benzema’ scored the only goal of the day as BUL FC won to reclaim their top of the table slot moving ahead of Kitara on 18points from the six games they have played.

This marks a brilliant start in the season as the Eastern giants have now won all their first six games for the first time in the league eversince gaining promotion to the UPL.

URA FC had the first shot on goal but goalkeeper Tom Ikara made a brilliant save to deny Joseph Ssemujju on two different occasions which could have resulted into an early lead for the visitors.

With just five minutes into the restart of the second stanza, Alex Kitata capitalized on a defensive mistake to put the ball in the back of the net after miscommunication from the URA goalkeeper Dennis Otim and defender Hudu Mulikyi.

A win at home ensures that BUL FC now return to the top of the table as they wait for second placed Kitara FC to play their sixth game whereas URA FC sit sixth with nine points.
