Vipers’ Custodian ruled out for three months

2022/2023 Startimes Uganda Premier League Champions Vipers SC have confirmed that their goalkeeper Alfred Mudekereza will be out for three months because of an injury.

The Congolese international Alfred Mudekereza picked up the injury at the finishing of last season and he wasn’t able to participate in the last games for the club.

“Goalkeeper Alfred Mudekereza has undergone a detection and immobilization of his fractured left small figure sustained last season and will be out for three months” Vipers confirmed on their official Social media platforms.

Alfred Mudekereza’s injury might have been one of the reasons for the early exit of Vipers in CAF Champions League this season, his experience is unsoubtable.

The development means Vipers will now relie on goalkeepers like Fabien Mutombora, Jack Komakech and Denis Kiggundu.

Komakech has been the Brazilian’s favourite after appearing in all the three opening games for Vipers SC.

Jack Komakech has only conceded one time with two clean sheets in the three games.

Vipers will next play SC Villa on 20th October at St Mary’s Kitende in their next Startimes Uganda Premier League game.
