South African billionaire Elon Musk shows interest in purchasing Manchester United

Controversial South African billionaire Elon Musk has come out to express his interest in purchasing English Premier League side Manchester United.

Taking to his Twitter page, the richest man on the planet revealed that he’s buying the club without providing further details.

Elon Musk according to official sources is worth
265.7 billion USD making him the richest man living.

Manchester United on the other hand is worth 4.7 billion dollars and is currently owned by the Glazers who can’t match up to Elon’s enormous wealth.

With the current crisis that Manchester United is currently going through, Manchester United fans saw this as a breath of fresh air.

And with having wanted the Glazers out for a long time, they thought with Musk in charge, they could be another PSG or Manchester City with heavy spending.

Musk however broke their hearts after he revealed in a later tweet that he’s not buying any sports team and it was rather a joke.

The club has lost two of their opening fixtures to Brighton and Hove Albion (2-1) and got thumped 4-0 by Brentford in the last game.

The club plays Liverpool next who are also yet to get the ground running after picking just 2 points in their opening 2 games.

Things however don’t look quite good for Manchester United with even their star player Cristiano Ronaldo looking for an escape route out of the mess.
