Niger Vs Uganda – Marrakesh, Morocco.

Algeria Vs Tanzania.

Uganda Cranes will be up against Niger in a must win tie if they are to light up their chances of qualifying to the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations.

Uganda sit third in group F with just four points from the five games they have played, they face Niger a side who they failed to defeat as they only managed to pick a 1-1 draw at St Mary’s stadium in Kitende.

The cranes will need to play for maximum points as well as monitor the results from their neighbours Tanzania who gave Algeria in their last group game. The taifa Stars sit second with 7 points behind Algeria who top group F.

Speaking to the media, Ibrahim Kasule who is eagerly waiting to make his senior team competitive debut expressed the readiness of the team as they head into the game.

“As players, we are ready to put our bodies online inorder to achieve the target which is qualification to AFCON in Ivory coast next year” Ibrahim Owen Baba Kasule addressed the media before the game.

Players that had taken long minus being summoned include Tadeo Lwanga who features for APR FC, Beavis Mugabe who features for Motherwell in Scotland and other players who at a large extent will give Micho headache in team selection.

Micho will need to play offensive and at the same time defensive because goal differences will also be vital.

Any result that matches with Tanzania’s one will only mean Uganda would have failed for the second consecutive time to qualify for  AFCON.

Uganda Cranes last participated in AFCON that was back to back  2017 and 2019.
