Newly promoted side Mbarara City have confirmed the signing of Uganda Cranes defender Innocent Wafula.
Innocent Wafula joins Mbarara City FC from KCCA FC and has signed a two year working contract that would take him till 2025 with the Ankole lions.
Mbarara City confirmed the development via their Social media platforms.
” Mbarara City FC is delighted to confirm that Wafula Innocent Esimu has joined the Den on a two year working contract from KCCA FC; Welcome back home Wafula”.
Innocent Wafula will be enjoying his second stint at Mbarara City having been there before in the second part of the 2020/2021 season.
The experienced defender has featured for Kenyan sides like Chemilil Sugar and Gor Mahia.
Wafula becomes the sixth signing of Wasswa Bbosa coached side.
The other signings include Yunus Sibira, Magumda Bakali, Pius Kagwa and Joseph Akandwanaho.
