The Federation of Motorsport Clubs Uganda (FMU) flagged of a contingent of 35 riders to represent Uganda at the upcoming FIM Africa Motorcross of African Nations (MXOAN) in South Africa.
The FIM Africa MXOAN will take place between 11th and 13th August, 2023 in the coastal Cape Town city.
The assistant general secretary administration at the National Council of Sports Joseph Oluga urged the team to go perform to their best as they represent Uganda on the continent.
“Go and represent the country gallantly. Motorsport is now a priority sport with some good funding by Government. We thank the federation (FMU), other stakeholders as sponsors, parents and fans for the collective effort” said Joseph Oluga.
The team manager Reynolds Kibira has high hopes of a better performance in the team as they set off for the MXOAN Championships in South Africa.
“As team manager I believe that we will do well. We are going to Cape Town to represent Uganda as a country. We started preparing for this event at the beginning of the year and the riders have been working together,” Reynolds Kibira
