Having won their first group stage game at home in Wakiso, Busiro are eager to fight for maximum points as they welcome Gomba at Kabaka Kyabagu Stadium as they target a second successive victory at home.
Under the guidance of head coach Ibrahim Kirya, Busiro managed to collect their first win in the 2023 Masaza cup tournament as they defeated Mawogola by a 1-0 score at home.
Kirya remains positive of haunting Gomba who sit second in the Muganzirwaza group with seven points from four games played, Busiro have only managed to pick up four points.
“We play Gomba in an intense game tomorrow, each team need to win the match but we (Busiro) need it the most as we are trailing behind our visitors with three points as we only have four points and we are encroaching the second round.” Said Ibrahim Kirya.
“It won’t be an easy game but we ready to fight for maximum points as everyone is ready and in good. We only have two injuries in the squad but that won’t stop us from winning.” Added Kirya.
The captain Vincent Agaku expects a spirited fight from his teammates as they target a positive result against Gomba but he has went on to urge the fans to come and support them as the 13th player.
“The motivation in the camp is very high after our first home win, we want to build on it and push for a maximum results as we host Gomba, I would like to call upon all the fans to come in huge numbers and support as we pick our second win at home.” Said Busiro captain Vincent Agaku.
The game will played under much intensity with Gomba fans travelling in large numbers but the OC station Wakiso Division has ensured maximum security at the pitch and off the pitch for the safety of the players, fans and match officials.
According to the Busiro head of Media and publicity Sinani Waiswa, he hinted on the match fares which have moved slightly high from their encounter against Mawogola with the Ordinary ticket selling at 10,000 UGX, VIP ticket 20,000UGX and 30,000 for the VVIP personnel.
