Netball: She Cranes dance to King Saha, Pallaso tunes at massive send off Dinner

The Uganda National Netball team (She Cranes) was treated to a mega send off Dinner at Imperial Royale Hotel with just after being officially flagged off to the 2023 Netball World Cup I’m South Africa.

The team was treated to a VIP as they were entertained by Uganda Artist, Pallaso, King Saha and Geosteady who left the crowds overwhelmed by their performances.

The support from the sponsors was so immense as the She Cranes team was offered a hefty packed to leave back home before setting off to the World Cup in South Africa.

Amidst the 1000 USD packed promised by the government, the Federation also awarded the team with 1000 USD for each player on the team before flying out and it was part of the package from the sponsors.

The Uganda Boxing Federation president Moses Muhangi who supported the She Cranes send off Dinner as he bought a table worth 2M Uganda Shillings called for massive support from fellow federation presidents to support the team at World Cup.

“I managed to support the She Cranes team with a token of 2M as I bought a table at the send off Dinner, this should be an act fine by all the Federation president if we are to support one another, if at all the 51 member federations supported the campaign with 2M, that would be like 100M UGX in the bag of the She Cranes and hence we wait for the better performances.” Said Moses Muhangi

Moses Muhangi went ahead to urge all Ugandans to show support to the She Cranes team as they play in Netball Works Cup in South Africa.

“I would like to call upon all Uganda’s and not only the boxing fraternity to show massive support to our girls as they play in the World Cup in South Africa.” He added.

It was also a timely return of the Federation president Sarah Babirye Kityo as she made her return to office after a period three months, she has been so vital in securing sponsorship for the She Cranes squad during her time out of office.
