Wakiso Hill President meets fans on the Vipers partnership deal, sets eyes on the 2023/2024 league trophy

The Wakiso Hill Women Football club president Shaka Wilber has set eyes on clinching the 2023/2024 FUFA Women Super League trophy after landing a mega partnership deal with Vipers SC.

This happened on Sunday 2nd as he was in fans meeting elaborating the Vipers partnership deal which will see the club host their home games at St. Mary’s stadium in Kitende.

“After entering into this partnership with Vipers SC, our aims and ambitions as Wakiso Hill Women Football club have now changed as we are now looking forward at winning the FUFA Women Super League trophy, this all comes in as a result of associating with a champion.”

The club president elaborated more on the partnership deal whereby he denied rumours of Vipers SC owning 90% of the club.

 “Today Sunday the 2nd we have held a fans meeting to address them on issues of the partnership we entered into with Vipers SC and the benefits we are going to gain as Wakiso Hill Women Football club.”

“In the partnership we signed we are going to receive many aspects starting from the technical part, marketing and all other management aspects. In this partnership, Vipers SC will help us rise and also we as Wakiso Hill Women club we shall help them in all other possible ways we can.”

“We are looking forward to improving on the fan base for both teams with fans of Wakiso supporting Vipers and also those of Vipers pulling up that massive support for Wakiso Hill Women Football club. In doing this, it will help the growth of Women Football in the country.”

Shaka Wilber is eager to recruit more players in the club as he has bigger ambitions and prospects for the club but he still insists that the club will be fully based in Maya where they will be training full time and only shift to Kitende a day before match day.

Wakiso Hill Women Football club finished second in the FUFA women elite league and qualified to the FUFA Women Super League but due to Vipers SC being the champions of the Uganda Premier League, they booked their slot to the CAf Champions League.

In the CAF Champions League, each participating team is tasked to have a women football team or a partnership with a Women Football Club which is aimed at promoting Women Football in Africa. This saw Vipers SC enter into a two years partnership deal with the Maya based club as a result to meet the necessary requirements by CAF.
