Rugby: Human Diagnostics Uganda partners KOBS to celebrate 60 years of existence

The Human Diagnostics Uganda Limited has entered into a partnership with Kampala Old Boys (KOBs) RFC as they celebrate 60 years of existence.

KOBs RFC was instituted in 1963 and the partnership has seen them bag a 5M token which will come in through branded player match day polo shirts with various community activities such as holding a two day medical camp at the first Rugby seven circuit.

Human Diagnostics Uganda Limited the distributes of Oraquick HIV Self-test kits through their mission ‘End AIDS by 2030’ managed to provide self testing kits to the management and players of KOBs Rugby Club.

“At KOBs we are celebrating 60 years of existence and we want to celebrate together the players, fans and all other stake holders, we have partnered with Oraquick in their campaign to put and reduce on the spread of HIV through self testing as we celebrate our 60 years ” 

“KOBs is the oldest club and most successful rugby club in Uganda despite having a few challenges in the past years, the 60 years celebration will be a huge motivation to us as we try to bounce back.” Said Tonny Stone Luggya the club Chairman.

The celebrations will start with a two days medical camp which will be held on the the first 2023 Rugby 7s circuit on the 1st & 2nd July and August a KOBs charity car wash.

The celebrations will move on upto the end of the year where they will hold a KOBs @60 Dinner in November to climax the celebrations.

KOBs is the most successful rugby club in Uganda with a club record of 13 National League Championships, 8 Uganda Cup tittles, 7 Makerere Tens titles, 8 club sevens titles among others .
