Startimes UPL: Karisa strikes late to earn Vipers maximum points against Rivals KCCA FC

Vipers SC 1-0 KCCA FC – St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Vipers SC scored late to win all the three points against KCCA FC by a 1-0 score as they moved to the second position ok the table.

Milton karisa was the man of the moment as his low strike in the 88th minute past along goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan.

In a game more of a physical contest, Vipers had the first chance of the game with Abubakar Lawal hitting the base of a goal post in the 4th minute.

Rogers Mato had a beautiful one moments later but hardly did he decide to shoot than to provide to Kankonde.

Vipers SC had another beautiful chance in the 30th minute only for Karim Ndugwa to miss up Isa Mubiru’s cross.

Two minutes later, KCCA claimed for a penalty after Mukundane fouled Rogers Mato but referee didn’t act.

In the 52nd minute of second half. Vipers goalkeeping coach Ibrahim Mugisha was shown Marching orders as he exchanged words with referee Mashood Ssali.

The second half had little chances of goals as both parties opted to atleast salvage a point.

Vipers too had a penalty appeal when Abubakar Lawal was put down by Geoffrey Wasswa but referee didn’t act.

Allan Okello who had an off day had a chance score but custodian Fabien Mutomboro collected the effort.

The hosts became more demanding in the closing minutes though Cromwel Rwothomio and Martin Kizza failed to convert their chances.

The match decider came in the 88th minute when Milton karisa striked low but custodian Benjamin Ochan failed to save the effort.

Another serious incidence came in when KCCA’s Kakonde punched referee Mashood Ssali, however Kakonde was shown Marching orders after the game.

The results means, Vipers moved to second place with 45 points level with KCCA who dropped third, Vipers occupy second because of a better goal difference
