Startimes UPL: Vipers in revenge mission as they host rivals KCCA FC

Vipers SC Vs KCCA – St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Vipers SC will today take on KCCA FC in a game that can decide who will win the Uganda Premier League title.

Both teams are in hunt of points in every single game that crosses against them.

Vipers occupy the third place with 42 points, a win probably takes them to 2nd and uplifts their chances of winning the title.

However KCCA FC are second with 45 points and a win will them at top with out doubt.

KCCA won the first leg of the fixture 1-0 at MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo.

Jackson Mayanja head coach at KCCA revealed how his team has to show character and how the game means alot to them in the title race.

” We are going there to play a game of our lives. We have no option but to go and play for a win if we are to keep our title hopes alive”.

” We have to show them that we want it more than them. The title challenge is still open. The players have been prepared well, this is a great club and the players must show that they have to play for this great club”.

Vipers managed to defeat Gaddafi FC in their last game at Kitende, Isabirye who is the head coach knows what his boys are capable of and reveals that till last day, they won’t surrender in the title race.

” If we get our best performance, l think we can do it, it will be a special, special match with out supporters at St Mary’s Kitende”.

” They boys will give me every thing they’ve got, you can’t doubt them in terms of application and commitment, they are desperate to change things and push till the last day of the league “.

Vipers will miss services of Murushid Juuko, Marvin Joseph Youngman, Alfred Mudekereza and Yunus Sentamu, however Striker Karim Ndugwa who missed the last game of Gaddafi is available.

On the other side, KCCA will only miss out John Revita and Brian Aheebwa, Rogers Mato will have to pass late fitness test.

It is in record that Vipers haven’t lost any game against KCCA at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

In the last 35 meetings, Vipers remain a better side having won 14, drawn 9 and 12 have ended in favour of KCCA.
