Mayanja starts KCCA FC job in the Kampal Derby against SC Villa

New KCCA interim manager starts his reign today on Sunday with a home game against table leaders SC Villa.

KCCA FC comes into the game at a poor form, they have failed to win any game in their last 5 games in all competitions.

Meanwhile, SC Villa comes into the game with a recent shock of Arua hills in their last league game, otherwise they were at a good form.

Mayanja urged his players to show mentality as it is a key in winning big games.

” KCCA, SC Villa is a big game. Big games are for players with big mentality, We need to show that we have mentality for such games. l have come here to win and this is the most important thing “.

Mayanja further showed respect to the rivals and revealed the importance of each game in the remaining fixture.

” l respect SC Villa and they have worked hard to get where they are, but this is a derby and we are KCCA. We have to step up and show that we want it more than them”.

” We have 8 games to end the season and every game will matter. We must change our mindsetand this starts immediately”.

Head to head wise, In the last 5 meetings KCCA have won 2, drawn 2 and lost 1 to SC Villa.

KCCA will miss out services of Usama Arafat and Dominic Ayella while the visitors will miss out the services of David Owori and Jonah Kakande.

KCCA FC won the first leg of the fixture by 3 goals to nil.

KCCA FC are in the second place in the Uganda Premier League with 38 points from 20 games, 5 below SC Villa who are 1st with 43 points.

In other games to be played, Wakiso Giants will be hosting Oduparaka at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium.
