FUFA Women Super League: Nyinagahirwa brace lifts Kawempe Muslim past resilient Gafford

Shakira Nyinagahirwa scored a brace as Kawempe Muslim rallied from a goal down to defeat Asubo Gafford Ladies 2-1 in the FUFA women’s Super league match played at Kawempe Muslim Secondary School playgrounds.

The visitors of Gafford took a first half lead in the game as Kamiyat Naigaga scored in the 30th minute beating goalkeeper Saidah Namwanje as she gave the visitors a deserved lead.

A determined Kawempe Muslim came back in the second half of the game with the aim to collect maximum points as they pressed the game so high which saw on form Nyinagahirwa shine once again.

Nyinagahirwa scored with eight minutes after the restart of the game to level the scores in the 63rd minute before completing her brace in the 86th minute to hand Kawempe Muslim maximum points at home.

Fresh from being crowned the UMEA Solidarity games top scorer with 14 goals, Nyinagahirwa has now turned full focus to the league top scorers boot as she has now taken her rally to ten goals in the league.

Kawempe Muslim have now maintained the spot in the second position as they now have 26points from 15 games played with four points above third placed Uganda Martyrs.
