Stanbic Uganda Cup: Vipers ease past Calvary to book a slot in the Semis

Vipers SC 4-1 Calvary – St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Vipers comfortably defeated Calvary (4-1) at St Mary’s Stadium, to reach Semifinals of Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Both Yunus Sentamu and Abubakar Lawal scored a brace each to guide the Venoms to a back to back Semifinal.

Yunus Sentamu opened the score for the Venoms in the 9th minute, Lawal came with one in the 16th minute.

Yunus Sentamu completed his brace in the 19th minute.

Andama pulled one for the visitors in the 43rd minute moments after Karim Ndugwa was denied the fourth goal for Vipers by the assistant referee.

Abubakar Lawal completed his brace in the 53rd minute through a penalty kick following a foul on captain Milton karisa.

Vipers are looking for their third Stanbic Uganda Cup having won it two times.

Last year, they reached finals and we’re denied by BUL FC.

Vipers joins Police as two teams at the Semifinal stage in Stanbic Uganda Cup this year.

Other quarterfinal games will come on Saturday and Sunday.
