Vipers to face off with Central African Republic side in Champions League

Startimes Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC will take on Central African Republic side Olympic Real de Bangui in the preliminary round of the CAF champions league.

This was confirmed in a draw held in Cairo Egypt on Tuesday evening.

The Kitende based side will play their first round games on away with a visit in Central African Republic between the 9th to 11th September as the second leg at St. Mary’s stadium will be played a week later 16th to 18th September.

The winner who will progress from both legs will face off with TP Mazembe from Congo in the first round which is the last stage to CAF champions league Group stage entry.

This will be the sixth time as Vipers try their luck to emulate what KCCA FC did of making it to he group stages having failed on all their previous five attempts.

Vipers have geared up their preparation for the Champions league qualifiers lining up a second international friendly against Rwandeese side Rayon sport, previously they played against Yanga Africans from Tanzania.
