Champions league: Sudanese giants Al Hilal cautioned for Misconduct in win against Al

The Confederation of African football  (CAF) has penalised Sudanese club Al Hilal for misbehaving to Al Ahly in their Champions League clash that was on February 18th in Sudan.

According to CAF Disciplinary Board, Al Hilal’s team doctor Award Elseed Osman will get a suspension  of four CAF inter club matches because of his unfriendly behaviour he showed to visitors during the game.

On adding matters worse, Al Hilal will too be fined financially with $20,000.

Having allowed fans into a closed door match in the first tie, CAF has instructed Al Hilal to reduce on the number of attendees for matches played behind closed doors to 30 people.

Statement from CAF reads as below.

“The Disciplinary Board ruled to suspend the team Doctor Mr Award Elseed Osman for four (4) CAF inter club matches. The doctor is banned from sitting at the touchline bench and accessing the dressing rooms”.

“CAF has imposed a fine of $10.000 for the Unsporting aggressive behaviour of the team  doctor upon the club, Al Hilal”.

“To impose upon a financial sanction of USD 20.000 for the lack of security during the training session and at the end of the match”.

“Limit the attendance of the number of people assisting in matches to be played behind closed doors to 30 people in the tribune along with the operational and technical staff”.

“In an event that the number of attendees in the next matches of Al Hilal club played behind closed doors exceeds the above mentioned quota, a fine of USD 50,000 will be automatically imposed upon Al Hilal club”.

Al Ahly reported to CAF on how they were treated before, during and after the game in Sudan and so has CAF responded with the above sanctions.

In that tie in Sudan, Al Hilal defeated Al Ahly 1-0.
