Gambia were later reduced to ten men after midifielder Haruna Rashid Njie was sent off in the 89th minute but this could not stop them from defending their lead.

Captain Papa Diop opened the scoring as he put Senegal in the lead with just 7 minutes, Camara Lamine bagged a brace as they completed a massive 3-0 victory against Tunisia.
Senegal will take on Gambia in finals on 11th March 2023 while Tunisia will earlier take on Nigeria for the third place.
Despite failing to make it on finals, all the four countries that made it on Semifinals will represent Africa in the FIFA World cup U-20 in Indonesia.
