Stanbic Uganda Cup: Paidha Black Angeles back in competition after successful petition

West Nile regional side Paidha Black Angeles have been restored back in Stanbic Uganda Cup after a successful petition as addressed by the FUFA competitions Disciplinary panel.

Earlier in the round of 32, Paidha Black Angels were eliminated by Kisugu United in a 5-4 penalty shootout having drawn 1-1 in normal time thanks to goals scored by Matovu Bob for Kisugu and Muber Jimmy for Paidha Black Angeles.

Action between Kisugu United and Paidha Black Angeles

Paidha Black Angeles appealed to FUFA that Kisugu United had used three ineligible players who were not meant to play.

Hamza Kasumba, Samuel Matovu and Mugisha Richard were the players used by kisugu   in the competitions despite any having the license from the FUFA Competitions department.

When asked about the license, the mentioned players above only presented passports stamped by Kampala regional Football Association and copies of National IDS.

“On the analysis of the above, the CDP was satisfied that the players Kasumba Hamza, Matovu Samuel and Mugisha Richard were ineligible to play in the match as they were not licensed to play for Kisugu United at the time of the match” Reads part of the ruling from FUFA Disciplinary Panel.

“On the Consequences, Kisugu United loses the match by forfeiture and is eliminated from the Competition therefore Paidha Black Angeles who were the opponent in the match progress to the next round of Stanbic Uganda Cup.”

From the above , Paidha Black Angeles will join other teams in the Round of 16.
