Big league side Kitara FC will take on regional league team Uganda Pentecostal University in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32 at Kigaaya primary school playground with head coach Sam Ssimbwa on his first home game.

Sam Ssimbwa remains unfazed with the region league side despite not underestimating UPU after their round of 64 progress when they eliminated UPL side URA FC.

“We should not underestimate Uganda Pentecostal University because we all saw what they did against URA. They are a good team with very good and promising young players,” said Sam Ssimbwa

“We are determined not to lose especially before our fans, we have been working on a few areas that were wanting after reviewing the previous performance and believe the players are set and know how crucial each game is.” Ssimbwa added as he vows to pick maximum points on his first game at home.

Kitara FC have a couple of injuries as Jamil Kiyimba, Paddy Muhumuza and Joseph Mbabali are all ruled out of this tie, they remain positive of picking up maximum points playing at home where they are yet to loose a game.

They will bank on the experience of new players they signed in the January transfer window with Paul Mucureezi and Geoffrey Lwesibawa ready to stage massive performances under head coach Sam Ssimbwa.

Kitara FC faced a huge task as they eliminated Free Stars FC in Mukono having played out to a draw throughout the full 90 minutes of the game, they progressed to the round of 32 through winning on penalties.
