SC Villa head coach Jackson Magera stand high chances of being crowned the Uganda Premier League coach for the month of December at the Pilsner Monthly Awards to be held at Kati Kati restaurant in Lugogo.
Jackson Magera and his side SC Villa were on an outstanding performance before the league took a break after first round.
In the Month of December, SC Villa played four games and they managed to finish the month unbeaten after defeating Maroons 1-0, Blacks Power 1-0, UPDF 2-0 and later ending the month with a 1-1 draw against URA FC.
Jackson Magera will have to see off competition from BUL FC head coach Alex Isabirye and Morley Byekwaso of KCCA FC.
BUL FC played five games in December and managed to win three games against Wakiso Giants 2-1, Arua Hill 1-0 and a 5-0 win against Maroons.
They managed to pick up a 1-1 draw against table leaders KCCA FC and lost once against Vipers SC by a 2-1 score.
KCCA FC’s Morley Byekwaso managed to guide the Kasasiro boys to the top of the table before the league break ending the month of December on a high with a 2-0 win against Onduparaka, 3-0 win against Express FC a 1-1 draw against BUL FC and a 2-1 win against Busoga United.
The Lugogo based side started the month with a 1-0 loss away against Bright Stars in Kavumba.
The pilsner player of the Month award has three nominees who will vie for the December accolade.
Vipers forward Milton Kariisa will be up against Laban Tibita of Busoga United and Fred Amaku of Maroons.
