Uganda Cup: SC Villa runs riot over Kireka United

Uganda Premier league side SC Villa proved too powerful for regional league side Kireka United as they won 6-0 in the Uganda cup match played at kings park arena to progress to the round of 32.

Rodgers Kiwanuka put the Jogoos in a deserved win just after the half hour mark and later sealed the scoring with a brace at the 90th minite as defender Hassan Musana got a goal to add onto Edward Masembe and Charles Bbaale goals with one own goal from Kireka United to seal the scorings on the day.

SC Villa looked to have taken the regional league side Kireka United back to football schooling as they dominated the game from the first minute.

In the other Uganda Cup game played on the day, Big league side Police FC squeezed past Soroti based side Apuutun in a 1-0 score as they progressed to the round of 32.

Defender and club captain Joseph Ssentume scored the only goal which gifted the cops a massive victory away from home in a game played in Soroti.

SC Villa and Police FX have now joined Vipers, BUL FC, Kitara FC, Ndejje University, Jinja North, Admin, Junior Eagles, Pajule Lions and Blue Stars in the round round of 32.

The Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 64 will continue with a couple of games lined up on Thursday.
