Sam Ssimbwa off the hook, lands juicy job in the prisons

The former URA FC head coach Sam Ssimbwa has been appointed as the new Maroons head coach, he replaces Muhammad Senfuma at the Luzira based side.

He gets off the hook after taking a two years spree without a coaching job eversince parting ways with URA FC in 2021.

A poor run of performance in the first round, saw Maroons FC finish 10th with 15 points from 14 games as the board wasn’t pleased with coach  Mohammed Senfuma hence being sacked.

Sam Ssimbwa started his Career in 1998 at Health FC However he has then Coached teams like Mbale Heroes, Masaka LC FC, Military Police FC, KCCA FC, Top Tv FC, ATRACO FC ( Rwanda), Express fc, Simba SC, and Sofapaka ( Kenya), SC villa, Soana, Sports club Victoria University, Somalia National team and recently URA FC

Mohammed Senfuma is remembered to have helped Maroons qualify for Uganda premier league topflight

Maroons FC have just replaced their CEO Mr Bamwange Pius who went to Arua hills with Muhumuza

Currently, Maroons sits in the 10th place with 15 points from 14 games only 5 points from Relegation

Sam Ssimbwa will start on 10th Feb as he will be versing off form Busoga United at FUFA Technical Center Njeru
