Ugandan Striker Davis Kasirye parts ways with Kenyan side

BY JUMA KRUZ

Davis Kasirye departs Kenyan top tier side Sofapaka, he joined the club in September 2022 on one year contract and so he has left the club before the end of his contract having featured for only four months

He isn’t the only player whose contract was terminated after Wazito’s forward Joseph Waithera facing the same

Davis Kasirye joined Sofapaka in September 2021 from KCCA FC and he didn’t reach the expectations of the team

Having scored only 1 goal and 1 assist in 6 games for Sofapaka

Sofapaka sits in the 12th place with 11 points from 11 games only 4 points ahead of relegation despite being 4 games ahead of relegating teams like Wazito, Vihinga bullets and Mathare United who have only played 7games

This explains how poor the team is performing and the need to cut off some players

Davis Kasirye has featured for Ugandan teams like URA FC, KCCA FC, Vipers SC and Police FC

Meanwhile he has featured for other African teams like Rayon Sports in Rwanda, Motema in DR Congo and ZESCO United in Zambia
