Micho calls for Togetherness and Unity ahead of CHAN 2023

CHAN tournament 2023 kicked off yesterday with the hosters Algeria coming up with a win against Libya 1-0

However Uganda Cranes is to get in action on 14th January as it will be playing DR Congo in their first game

This is where Micho called for Togetherness and Unity as the strongest weapon to break through in the group stages

” l believe that we have worked on the team Unity so that we’re mentality strong, ” Micho revealed in an interview ahead of opener DR Congo

” We have to use this opportunity as a perfect platform where individuals present themselves in the best possible way, representing the Country, but as only as a team.” He concluded

Micho reveals how the opener DR Congo will be a good test on how the team as prepared

” l believe that we have prepared very well and we are theoretically and practically aware of the sources of Vulnerability of the opponent “

” We have worked very well on tactical aspects where we have to react in a certain way depending on the situation “

Uganda Cranes skipper insists more on how that team is ready for the opener

” We are prepared well and every one is ready to give everything ahead of the opener. The opener will not be an easy one . We’ll respect them (DRC) but wont fear them, because our team is good enough”

Uganda Cranes is the only Country to have featured in the 5 previous CHAN tournaments that are 2011, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020 despite failing to Qualify from any CHAN group stages in above

Uganda Cranes is in group B with teams like Senegal, Ivory Coast and neighbours DR Congo
