Bashir Sekagya: Former Vipers goalkeeper inks two years deal at Wakiso Giants.

Wakiso Giants have confirmed the signing of Bashir Sekagya on a two years deal with an option of an additional year.

Sekagya joins the purple sharks a free agent after his stay at the Kenyan League side Wazito FC came to an end a team he joined from Vipers SC.

He has shown excitement upon joining the Wakiso based club as he looks forward to the growth of his career as a goalkeeper.

“It’s an exciting opportunity for me to continue my growth as a goalkeeper, with such an ambitious club I will do  what it takes in my abilities to help the club achieve their ambitions.” Said Sekagya.

Newly recruited coach John Ayala Luyinda has so much belief in Sekagya as he expects him to bring in a lot of experience to the club.

 “His talent and potential is undoubted and we are glad he chosen us. He comes with a bit more experience and we believe he will be of value to the squad.” Said Coach Ayala.

Bashir Sekagya becomes Wakiso Giants first signing prior to the new season. He has featured in the Uganda Premier League with a couple of sides.

He played for KCCA FC in the juniors league before being promoted to the senior side, he later went on to feature for UPDF FC in the Uganda Premier League before joining Vipers.

Sekagya departed Vipers in 2021 October to join Kenya top tier side Wazito FC.
