Two dropped as Vipers dominate final 23 man squad for CHAN

Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic has named the final squad that will represent tye country in the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Algeria starting from the 14th January.

The final team consists of 23 players from the squad out of 25 players that has been in Tunisia wit two Vipers players in midfielder Siraje Sentamu and Najib Yiga have been dropped but the Venoms remain with the dominant number in the CHAN squad.

While in Tunisia for the friendly games, the Cranes registered three draws with the latest coming against Mali in a goalless stalemate over the weekend.

They had earlier on drawn with Sudan (2-2) and Cameroon (1-1) on Tuesday and Thursday respectively, in the friendlies played in Tunisia.

Uganda is pooled in Group B alongside Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal and Ivory Coast.

The Cranes, making their sixth appearance at the competition, will be seeking for glory this time as they have never gone past the group stages in the past editions.
