Atlas Lions roar into semis as England return home

The Atlasa Lions of Morocco have written history after eliminating European giants Portugal by a 1-0 score to become the first African nation to reach the Semifinals of the FIFA World Cup.

Yousef En-Nesyri scored the only goal as Morocco powered past  hard fighting Portugal to seal a spot in the Semifinals.

En-Nesyri towered high in the sky to head home just before halftime as he beat goalkeeper Diogo Costa who was out of his line.

Morocco resorted to defending and their tactics worked out goalkeeper Yacine Bono denied Cristiano Ronaldo in one on one situation and Pepe whose shot went inches wide.

Morocco will now face off with France in the Semifinals.

France eliminated rampant England with goals from Tchouameni and Olivier Giroud as Harry Kane netted from the penalty before missing a decisive one with just three minutes to 90 minutes and he fired his shot above the cross bar from the spot.

France the defending champions are now the favourites to reach the finals as they will face under dogs of Morocco.
