Uganda Boxing Federation to host Boxers from Burundi.

Ugandan Boxing Federation will host Burundian boxers in week 25 of the Uganda Boxing Champions League.

This comes after a request by Eric Ndayishimiye, the President of the Burundi Boxing Federation, to the UBF President to participate in game week 25 of the Uganda Boxing Champions League.

“The Burundi Boxing Federation is pleased to come to the Uganda Boxing Federation to request for the participation of the Burundi Boxing National Team in the Champions League to take place  on the 5th November 2022 in Kampala city’’ states the 6th October letter 

 This special edition of boxing will take place on 4th November 2022 at MTN Arena Lugogo, starting at 4pm.

The two countries see this as an avenue for strengthening international relationships, raising experience and skills among the Boxers and creating opportunities for the Boxing fraternity within the East African Community.

The two countries are in serious preparation and training for the different categories so as to give the fans a mouth watering entertainment come that day.

Burundi highlighted the categories it will participate in (51kg, 60kg, 63kg ,67kg, 71kg and 75kg) for men and (52kg, 54kg and 57kg) in female.

In attendance will be State Minister for Sports Honourable Peter Ogwang,Ms. Tina Uwimana, Miss Planet International 2019, Miss Globe Africa 2021 and Miss Burundi, who called upon Burundians to come and support their national boxing team.
