Nkozi based University,Uganda Martyrs have returned to the Final of the Pepsi Sponsored University Football League after four years.
This is after they knocked out Defending Champions Uganda Christian University 5-4 in a penalty shoot out after a one all aggregate score.
In a game played on Thursday evening at Nkozi,Sunny Kaija scored the only goal as hosts managed a 1-0 scoreline against 2019 Champions at Full-time.
With a 1-1 aggregate score, the game went into penalty shootouts and Uganda Martyrs won 5-4 with Sunny Kaija converting the most important and decisive kick.
Uganda Martyrs returned to the final after four years since 2017 when they won their first and only League title at the expense of two-time champions Makerere University Business School on a 2-0 scoreline.
Uganda Martyrs will play the victor between St. Lawrence University and MUBS in the final that is scheduled for 12th November 2022 at MTN OMONDI STADIUM LUGOGO.
