University Football League Defending Champions out to consolidate First leg Advantage.

University Football League Defending Champions Uganda Christian University will on Thursday afternoon take trip along Masaka Road in  Nkozi to consolidate the 1-0 goal advantage against 2017 Champions  Uganda Martyrs University for the second leg Semi-final at 1500 hours. 

The Visitors will be without First leg man of the moment ,Isaac Ofwoyirwoth who scored the difference and later on redcarded but Female Coach Collins Ahumuza is confident they must reach the last line.

“Team work was a point to drive on in the reverse fixture so we go for the second leg with something positive to build on and I believe we are going to return to the final,” said Uganda Christian University Head Coach.

Uganda Matyrs’ University will rally from a point of not losing a home game this season but breaking  the Visitors defense walls won’t be an easy task although Coach Eric Kisuze is hopeful that they can oust 2019 Champions.  

“Although we lost the first leg in Mukono I was very happy with how we played. The boys played very well and I know if we play like that again and polish on just a few areas we shall surely win,” said Kisuze Eric.

“The fact that we have not lost a game at home this season is a great motivation for us and I know that with the support of our fans we shall make it,” Kisuze added

The aggregate winner will set up the 2022 edition finale against either St. Lawrence University or Makerere University Business School with the former having a 2-1 first leg advantage.
