UPDF FC out to stop Wakiso dominance

The Startimes Uganda Premier league match day five will see UPDF FC take on Wakiso Giants at the Bombo military playgrounds.

UPDF looks set to end their winless run against the purple sharks as they only managed to collect a draw in the four games they have faced and Wakiso winning the three.

They come into this game with a good home record as they are yet to lose a game at home drawing against Express FC and a win against Busoga United, they will look forward to carry on their excelling performance at home with a positive result.

Having picked up a draw in their previous encounter away against Bright Stars, they face Wakiso Giants who seem to been on a rise having started the season with a loss and are unbeaten in their last two league games.

After going down in a 3-2 loss against KCCA FC, Wakiso Giants picked a goalless draw against maroons and recently defeated new comers Blacks Power 2-1 at their home.

Midfielder Moses Aliro has alot belief in his fellow teammates as he expects them to stage a huge fight with their targets set on achieving maximum points.

“At the moment, everyone is ready. We have been working so hard and the most important thing is that we go with that winning touch against Blacks Power,” said Moses Aliro.

“So, against UPDF tomorrow, we shall give everything on the pitch to ensure we get all three points.”

Wakiso Giants will be without players Joshua Lubwama and Samson Kirya who are currently engaged with the Sand Cranes squad in the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

UPDF FC currently sit 7th on the log with five points whereas Wakiso Giants is in the 9th position on four points.
