Vipers releases list of signings and departures- update about Bobosi Byaruhanga

With Vipers SC set to curtain raise tomorrow against Wakiso Giants at St Mary’s stadium in Kitende, the club has come out to issue a statement about the new signings and departures.

And as the season is set to start, question marks linger over the club’s midfield maestro, Bobosi Byaruhanga’s future.

Some sources have it that he left the club already while others think that he’s still around.

So what’s the truth in regards to the Uganda Cranes player’s future.

First amd foremost, let’s take a look at the new arrivals.

The Venoms signed ten players in this transfer both from within and outside Ugandan borders.

Some of the players signed in this transfer window include Abdu Lumala, Cromwell Rwothmio from URA, Congolese Rodrigue Shambamba.

The other players are Olivier Osomba, Alfred Mudekereza, Isa Mubiru, Ashraf Mandela, Murushid Juuko, Abubakar Lawal and Marvin Joseph Youngman.

All these have been signed on a permanent transfer.

There might be a great sense of elation among Vipers supporters on the arrivals but there has also been a great deal of departures.

These are 15 in number and some are permanent transfers while others are loan moves.

Some of the key departures include Halid Lwaliwa who has been the club captain.

Lwaliwa joined North Macedonian side FK Bregalnica Stip.

Congolese born striker Cesar Lobi Manzoki also moved to Chinese Suoer League side Dalian Pro in a highly publicized move.

Seven players left on loan moves to different clubs. Two players, Manzoki and Lwaliwa were sold.

Three players saw their contracts expire and were not renewed while three more players were released by mutual consent.

So where is Bobosi Byaruhanga in all this. The midfielder is neither among those who were sold nor released.

FUFA a while ago indicated how he had joined a team in the second tier in Czech Republic, side MFK Vyskov.

However, as there is no official communication from Vipers over this move, it means he will be spending the 2022-2023 Uganda Premier League in Kitende unless otherwise
