FUFA Drum: Bugusu defeat Lango to claim first leg advantage

The FUFA Drum quarterfinals resumed as Bugusu defeated on form Langi by a 1-0 score to claim the first leg advantage.

Raymond Onyai scored the all important goal in a fully packed Mbale Municipal stadium as Bugisu claimed a narrow victory.

The visitors of Langi dominated the game putting the hosts of Mbale on the recieving end but they failed to convert chances created as the first half ending in a stalemate.

For Bugisu whose most dangerous weapon is scoring from set pieces, they capitalized from a well taken in corner by Emma Shikanga and guided in by Raymond Onyai in the 63rd minute of the game.

It looked like Lango could get the equalising goal but the Bugisu defenders were busy in the day as they protected their 1-0 lead to claim victory.

Bugisu scoring from the corner now takes them to 8 goals being scored from set pieces in the FUFA Drum tournament.
