Kitara FC suffers 6th defeat of season after falling short to Soltilo Bright Stars.

Kitara FC suffering continued after losing out their 6th game of the season to Soltilo Bright Stars on a 1-0 score at Kavumba Recreational Grounds.

Both teams looked to level energy in the opening 45 minutes.

Denis Omedi had an opportunity for Kitara FC to open the score in the 8th minute but his efforts didn’t get in.

Still in the 25th minute, Titus Sematimba had an opportunity too for Kitara but his efforts got wide.

Nelson Ssenkatuka opened the score for Soltilo Bright Stars in the 33rd minute after a good delivery from Oketcho on the left.

Kitara FC had a tripple substitution just at the start of second half as they geared up their early hunt for an equalizer.

Kabon, Titus Sematimba and Seenkaaba paved way for Frank Zaga, Ivan Sserubiri and Fred Amaku.

In the 53rd minute, Denis Omedi had an opportunity for a leveller but Bright Stars custodian Shamuran was spot on.

Jude Ssemugabi tried in efforts with an header in the 58th minute but hit inches wide.

Soltilo Bright Stars was able to hold on for all their three points after the great defensive work.

It was Soltilo Bright Stars first win of the season and credits goes to their new interim coach Ian Mutenda.

The results saw Soltilo Bright Stars move out of relegation to 13th place on 6 points while Kitara FC dropped a place to 15th place on 4 points.
