Uganda 0-2 South Africa.
Uganda Cranes lost out their first game of the group to South Africa (0-2) following up a childish performance in second half.
First half ended goalless with either side putting in efforts to finish with the three points.
The difference came in the 48th minute when James Thapelo Morena opened the score for South Africa following a childish play by Tadeo Lwanga who failed to release the ball with a simple touch hence dispossessed.
Patrick Maswangai doubled the Bafana Bafana lead in the closing minutes following a beautiful cross which he controlled well, turning and then shooting past goalkeeper Ismael Watenga.
Uganda Cranes didn’t even register a single shot on target unlike the previous games they’ve played.
The result saw Saw Africa shift to top of group K with 11 points while Uganda remained on 10 points.
Uganda will next play Congo Brazzaville in their last game while South Africa will be hosting South Sudan.
Both teams, Uganda and South Africa comes into this already qualified and will just need to finish up their games.
