Vipers stun Mbarara City FC to claim top seat, ends their 16 unbeaten run at home.

Vipers SC continued their impressive form after edging Mbarara City FC on a 1-3 score at Kakyeka Stadium.

A result ended Mbarara City FC ‘s dominance at their home as it was their first loss in 16 games.

Vipers broke the deadlock first in the 45+ minute when Allan Okello converted a penalty after his teammate Yunus Sentamu was kicked down in the box area.

Okello doubled the lead for Vipers SC in the 53rd minute when he converted another penalty kick.

Latif Ssenkubuge pulled one back for Mbarara city FC in the 56th minute.

Yunus Sentamu completed the score when he scored the third for Vipers in the 70th minute.

The result means Vipers SC are still unbeaten in four games, after appointing John Ayala Luyinda as their interim Coach.

The result took them on top of the standings on 16 points, while Mbarara City FC dropped to 5th place after falling short in goal difference with UPDF FC.
