All is set for the return of the top tier footballing competition in the country as the 2024/2025 SUPL season kicksoff.
The opener will see the Kasasiro boys of KCCA FC host the URA FC the tax collectors in an epic encounter at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo under floodlights on Friday evening.
KCCA FC is eager to fight for maximum points in the opening game as Head Coach Abdallah Mubiru is eager to guide his side to the 14th glory.
“We want to start the league on a positive note as this gives you momentum. We have prepared well and hopefully the players can execute the things we have been working on during pre season.” said Abdallah Mubiru.
After unveiling the 2024/2025 squad to the fans, KCCA FC looks set and good to go but they will miss the services of Usama Arafat as he is recovering from a knock.
For URA FC, Alex Isabirye the new man in command has all his targets set on a better place finish than the previous season where they finished 8th.
They have boosted their side better with experienced player with the likes of Isma Mugulusi, Abraham Tusubira, Bright Vuni and Derrick Ochan who returns to Lugogo to face his former pay masters.
