Former Uganda Cranes head coach Micho sacked by Libya National team.

The Libyan Football Federation (LFF) has confirmed the sacking of former Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic.

This comes after the Libyan National team poor performances in their recent two games of AFCON QUALIFIERS against Rwanda and Benin.

Libya drew 1-1 with Rwanda in Tripoli before losing out to Benin away on a 2-1 score.

The sacking of Micho comes with just weeks to Libya’s 2025 AFCON double header against Nigeria.

Libya occupies the last position in their group D with only one point from two games and so opted for a change.

Micho who replaced Salim Al- Jalali at the Job in October last year will be set for his new challenge which will yet to be known.

Micho who was born on 1st September 1969 started his coaching career in 1994 with a team known as Palic.He has then had stints at other clubs and countries including Spartak Subotica, Yugoslavia U20, SC Villa, Saint George, Orlando Pilates, Young Africans, Al Hilal Omdurman, Zamalek, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia and Libya.

Inside sources reveals that the Libya’s Football Federation are optimistic for a domestic coach to lead them through the remaining AFCON QUALIFIERS.

Libya will face Nigeria on October 6th in Uyo, Nigeria before hosting the later on 11th of October in Tripoli.
