AFCON QUALIFIERS: Uganda Optimistic to pick up their first win against Congo.

Uganda Vs Congo Brazaville – Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

Uganda Men National Football team starts off their journey of Afcon Qualifying while at home Mandela National Stadium against Congo Brazaville.

Uganda who picked up a vital point in their previous outing against South Africa (2-2) are optimistic that this will be their first win in the qualifiers.

Uganda Cranes Head Coach Paul Put reveals how the team will do what it takes to win the game.

” The point away to South Africa will count for nothing if we don’t beat Congo at home, We shall do all it takes to win at home and the lads are aware of it”.

Congo comes into the game with a boost after edging South Sudan on a 1-0 score in their previous Afcon Qualifying game.

Congo will be working hard to register their second consecutive win since 2018.

They have registered two wins in their last Six games and all came against South Sudan.

Mohammad Shaban who missed out the outing against South Africa remains a doubt in today’s match.

Kenneth Semakula, Halid Lwaliwa all are available for selection in today’s match.

Uganda will relie more on services of Denis Omedi, Rogers Kasim Mato, Isma Watenga (GK) and whoever player who will be given a chance.
