SC Villa sit within a win away from being crowned the champions of the 2023/2024 Startimes Uganda Premier League title as they visit NEC FC in their last game of the season.
The jogoos sit top of the log with 54 point as BUL and Vipers come second and third respectively with a point short at 53 points whereas Kitara FC on 51 points stand a slim chance of claiming the trophy.
SC Villa under Serbian Dusan Stojanovic boost with higher odds as they only need to collect three points as they take on NEC FC at MTN Omondi stadium.
It’s the same situation for the jogoos in a repeat of 2022/2023 season where they only needed a win in their last game of the season to win the trophy but they ended losing by a 1-0 score against URA FC at Muteesa II stadium in Wankulukuku.
SC Villa come into this game with their confidence levels up after winning their last three consecutive games against URA FC by a 2-1 score, 2-0 win against UPDF FC and a 3-2 victory against Wakiso Giants.
For NEC FC, they have suffered in their last two home games where they have failed to collect maximum points against Vipers in a 0-0 draw and a 1-1 draw against Brightstars.
