Stanbic Uganda Cup: Venue to host final confirmed

The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has confirmed Wankuluku Stadium  as the venue to host the finals of the 50th edition of the prestigious Uganda Cup tournament.

The final is slated to take place on the 25th May 2024 as Uganda Premier league 2023/2024 entrants of Kitara FC and NEC FC will battle out as they seek to lift their maiden Stanbic Uganda Cup trophy.

The Masindi/Hoima based club Kitara FC eliminated Regional League side Pajule Lions on a 4-1 aggregate score in the semi-finals to reach their maiden Uganda cup final.

Kitara was victorious on both occasions  as they faced off with Pajule Lions with the first leg ending in a 3-1 score with goals from Solomon Okwalinga, Denis Omedi and Frank Zaga Tumwesigye and the second leg ending 0-1 as Brian Aheebwa scored the only goal.

For NEC FC, they over powered past one time Uganda Cup winners BUL FC in the semi finals as they progressed on a 3-1 aggregate score.

The Bugolobi based side managed to secure a 1-1 away draw in the first leg meeting at FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru and later won the second with a comfortable 2-0 win at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.
