Boxing, Football to rock Nakivubo war memorial stadium reopening

After a period of seven years renovation, Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium is set see its reopening  with boxing and football matches on the 1st June.

A double header of football friendly  games as  URA FC takes on Kitara FC and the Kampala derby between Express FC and SC Villa will lead the reopening of the newly upgraded artificial turf.

URA FC will play Kitara FC at 4:00 pm whereas the Kampala derby will be a test game played on the floodlights in the city centre as it kicks on at 7:00 pm.

There will also be boxing fights led by Golola Moses as he takes on Umar Semata in Kickboxing .

Isaac Zebra Ssenyang Jr. who is yet to lose a fight ever since turning pro will take on Kitaka Ibrahim in the boxing rings on the day.

The newly renovated Nakivubo War Memorial stadium was officially reopened by president Yoweri Museveni early last month.
