SUPL: Vipers visits SC Villa in a tricky tie

Record champions of Uganda Premier league SC Villa will be welcoming reigning champions Vipers SC in Uganda Premier league at Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku on Tuesday 9th April.

Both teams come into the game eying the title as each team is capable provided it utilises the remaining fixtures starting today.

Vipers sit third on the log with three points behind table leaders Kitara while SC Villa sit fourth with four points behind table leaders, Both teams have played two less games .

Vipers SC come into the game with a fine form in their last two games that is 2-0 win against URA FC while 2-1 win against UPDF FC.

With SC Villa, they drew 1-1 with Busoga United despite creating many chances and failing to convert.

SC Villa winger Hakim Kiwanuka highlights on how the team have worked on the problem.

” We’ve worked on our finishing since we have been creating enough chanches recently but not converting to our maximum. Every one of us is ready to take on the task ahead tomorrow “.

The games arrives after Vipers officially announced the parting ways with head coach Livingston Mbabazi.

Richard Wasswa will be in charge of the team, The gaffer believes like any other game it will not be easy but believes his side will work hard for the three points.

” We expect a tough game but it’s the hard work and determination that we hope will secure us all points “.

” The preparations like for every other game have been good and it’s all systems go”.

In the last 11 meetings at Wankulukuku,Vipers have won 4, Villa 2 and the rest have ended in draws.
