Stanbic Uganda Cup: BUL FC edge KCCA FC to cruise to semifinals

BUL FC 1 (6-5) 1 KCCA FC – FUFA Technical Centre Njeru.

BUL FC again reached Semifinals of Stanbic Uganda Cup when they edged KCCA FC in penalties in a 6-5 score after playing 1-1 in normal time.

Both teams brought in energy in the 90 minutes but none proved a winner, with the referee adding more 30 extra minutes but the tie had to be settled in penalties.

Alex Kitata had scored first for BUL FC in the eighth minute with a heavy shoot after Martin Aprem robbed procession from Herbert Achai.

In the 12th minute, KCCA FC equalised through Ettienne Katenga after BUL FC failing to clear away ball from Usama Arafat’s cross.

KCCA FC had slightly better chanches in the second half though failed to register the winner.

In the last quarter final game, Vipers will be taking on Kitara FC at Masindi Stadium.
