Corporate Sports Network: More teams and entertainment added to the mix in Luzira

The Astra Sports Network held a second successful outing at the Luzira Prisons Ground on Sunday 28th April.

More teams were added to the fray with Lubaga Hospital joining in on Match-day two with an intention of bringing more competition to the League.

With Football being the only sport played on the day, companies like I&M Bank, Hariss International, Uganda Breweries Limited, Case Hospital and URA among others were out on the pitch to compete for points and also entertain the revealers.

This time round the entertainment went beyond as playing smooth music which had a blend of oldies and current vibes with a giant screen beside showing the English Premier League game between Tottenham FC’s 3-2 loss to their North London Rivals, Arsenal.

However earlier on in the day, we had a chat with Quality Chemicals shot stopper Robert Odur alias Mr Safe hands who labeled the Corporate Sports Network as a good initiative,

“This is a very good initiative! He said, “it helps us exercise and come out of the work environment where we meet different people and fun”

“So far this is the second outing but I have learnt a lot, got in a couple of contacts that will boost my work and social life”

Standings as per the second outing.

The next outing (third outing) of the games will be played at the another Venue which is the MUBS play ground – Nakawa in May.

We expect more Games like; Basketball, Woodball, Volleyball and other Fun games (Tug of War)  in the next outing.

The games will be concluded by a Grand Dinner and Awards ceremony in December 2024.
