Kabaddi sport’s Dauglas Mulalira took home his maiden Fortebet Real star accolade of February at Lazio Restaurant in Kololo on Tuesday Morning.
Mulalira contributed to his side, Superior Kabaddi Club win Uganda Kabaddi Champion’s League turning out to be the best rider after contributing over 127 ride points and 26 tackle points.
This helped him collect the tournament’s MVP accolade. At the awards ceremony, he beat off competition from Rose Nankumba who won the Uganda Kabaddi Champion’s League Women MVP and title with Titanic Kabaddi Club bringing forward, 61 Ride Points and 29 Tackle Points.
Kirembe Annet was the other contestant in the category who fell to Mulalira after Ming out on top as the best rider in the Uganda Kabaddi Champion’s league women with 87ride points for Hustlers Clubs in addition to her 6 tackle points.
In the rally category, Jas Mangat continued to be untouchable taking home the accolade off Hassan Alwi and Jonas Kansiime.
The Piri Piri team leader with his co-driver Enock Olinga were crowned champions of the Mbarara Rally after covering in 1 hour, 10 minutes, and 23 seconds with a commanding lead of 9 minutes and 57 seconds.
In football, Denis Omedi came out on top after scoring six goals in five games in both the league and Uganda Cup for Kitara FC.
His form has helped Kitara move top of the Uganda Premier League standings with 39 points.
Omedi shrugged off competition from Joseph Dhata of NEC FC who also had six goals in five games in both Uganda Cup and league plus Muhammad Shaban who had four goals in five games in both competitions.
In the other categories, Emily Lekuru winger engulfed the rugby award after she scored a total of 90 points in February for her side Black Pearls who are unbeaten and lonely at the top of the league with 25 points.
