No Mutyaba as Byekwaso summons a 23 man squad for Dire Cup

Uganda Hippos (U-20) head coach Morley Byekwaso today as summoned his 23 man squad ahead of Dire Cup to be staged in Ethiopia.

The Tournament will take place between February 24th to 28th with 4 nations hoping to participate.

Djibouti, Kenya and hosts Ethiopia are other nations to participate.

Despite, star Travis Mutyaba has not appeared on the summoned list as the young lad is still adopting life at his new home Zamalek in Egypt.

“The Tournament in Ethiopia is more than a contest, it’s a strategic opportunity to fine-tune strategies and access dynamics before the All African Games” Morley Byekwaso said before adding.

” The Dire Cup is a crucial phase in our journey selecting the final 23 man squad was challenging, and narrowing it down to 20 for such a major tournament is even a more intricate task”.

It has to be known that Uganda Hippos are also preparing for All African Games that are yo be staged in Accra, Ghana.
